i hook mine up to my big screen hd tv. love this computer. you can upgrade the system to 8 gigs on the memory. they sent out new fans free of charge. love the 64 bit operating system too. very fast.
only down side i wish i had paid attention to was that you can only hook up one graphics card. the issue with the noise caused by the graphics card has been corrected. supper quite now. i love how you can record live tv.
It was heard from the opposite side of the house. I called hp and they sent a new video card.
good luck to anyone who dares. and each time the card lasted but a short few months.
This happended twice. I will no longer support or buy from HP.I wish we wouldn't have wasted our time or money on this product.
The computer started out great yet shortly within weeks the fan started making this HORRIBLE sound. If I knew how to upload a video clip I would video the fan and it's sound.
The card has done it again but my warranty expired 10 days ago so HP will do nothing about it.
Maybe that is why the drive is having issues. I would not recommend this particular machine. Constantly emails: try this and listen for a noise and tell us where it's coming from, etc. I have been absolutely amazed at the poor service that HP has offered. I am on my third graphics card and my second hard drive, and my second monitor as the graphics card shorted and fried my monitor. I have had this computer since September 30, 2008 with many problems. I am not a newbie to computers as I have been working on them for over 20 years. The computer was purchased with VISTA home premium 64 bit and the cd/dvd drive's driver is pre-Vista.
The graphics card will freeze, giving me blue screen errors (#117) about once every 3 hours of play. This computer runs wonderfully in all situations EXCEPT when running World of Warcraft. It seems to be a compatibility issue between vista, the card, and the game.
Very nice and fast computer with one BIG exceptionNOISY NOISY NOISYBad fan on the graphics card (2 of them so far and starting the"weed eater noise again today).HP NEEDS TO RECALL AND REPLACE THESE CARDS A.S.A.P.
